Getting started
What is Replay?
Replay is a place to store your video game clips and share them. You have a profile, you can join communities, and every clip has its own link. You choose who can watch each one.
Do I need an account?
Not to watch: public clips play without signing in. You need a free account to upload clips, join communities, follow players and report clips.
How do I sign in?
With your email and password, or with Discord or Google. You must be 13 or older. If you forget your password, use the password reset link on the sign-in page.
How do I choose the games I see?
Pick up to 8 favourite games. Replay shows their clips first on your home page, and you can switch to all games with one click.
Uploading clips
What are the limits for a clip?
Each clip can be up to 60 seconds long, up to 1080p and up to 200 MB, as MP4, MOV or WebM. The limits are the same on every plan.
Can I trim my clip?
Yes. Before you publish you can cut the start and the end. Viewers see only the part you select, and the whole file is still stored. You also choose a thumbnail: a frame of your video or the game’s artwork.
Who can see my clips?
You choose when you publish. Public clips can be seen by everyone and show on your profile and in feeds. Unlisted clips can only be watched by people with the link. Private clips can only be seen by you. A clip posted only to a community is saved as Unlisted and people find it in that community, unless the community’s owner makes its clips public.
How do I delete a clip?
You can delete a clip at any time. It disappears at once and its files are removed from storage shortly afterwards. Deleting a clip does not give back the post it used that day.
Daily posts and plans
How do daily posts work?
Every clip you publish uses one post for each place it goes to: your profile or a community, so a clip posted to both uses two. Free gives you 2 posts a day (1 to your profile and 1 to a community), Plus 4 (2 and 2), Pro 10 (5 and 5) and Premium 15, in any mix. The count starts over every day at midnight UTC, and deleting a clip does not give its post back.
What do paid plans give me?
Plus, Pro and Premium raise your daily limit. All three remove ads, and Pro and Premium add a badge on your profile. A plan replaces the limit of another plan, it does not add to it. Plus starts with one month free, once per account and card. Clip limits are the same on every plan.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
On the Plans page, under “Your subscription”. If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment, your plan ends right away and that payment is refunded in full, once per account. Otherwise it ends at the end of the period you already paid for, and you keep your benefits until then. You cannot switch plans directly: cancel, then subscribe to the new one when the current one ends. For questions about a charge, see Contact below.
Communities
What is a community?
A group around a game or a squad, with its own page, rules and members. Join one to post your clips there and watch what its members share. The directory helps you find one.
How do I join one?
It depends on the privacy its owner chose. You join a public community right away. In a private one you ask to join, and an admin accepts or declines. An invite-only community can only be joined with an invite from an admin, and it does not show up in search.
Can I create a community?
Yes. You become the owner, you set its name, address, rules and privacy, and you can make members admins. Each person can own only one community.
How do I post a clip to a community?
Join the community, then choose it under “Where to post” when you upload. It uses one of your daily community posts. A clip posted only to a community does not show on your profile or in feeds.
Replay Recorder
What is Replay Recorder?
A free app for Windows 10 (version 2004) or 11 that runs in the tray and keeps the last 15, 30 or 60 seconds of your game. Press a hotkey to save them as a clip on your PC, then publish the best ones to Replay. Windows may warn you about the installer: its page explains what to do.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not to record and save clips. To publish, you sign in on the Replay website, so the app never sees your password. A published clip goes to your profile and uses one of your profile posts for the day. You can unlink the app in Settings, under Your connected apps.
Privacy, reports and suspensions
What can I not post?
Post only what you have the right to share. Sexual or NSFW content, harassment, hate, illegal content and spam are not allowed. The Terms of Service have the full rules.
How do I report a clip?
Open the clip and use the Report button, then choose the reason that fits best. You need to be signed in, you can report each clip once and you cannot report your own. Only Replay admins see your report. For anything else, see Contact below.
Why can an account be suspended?
Accounts that break the Terms of Service can be suspended and their content removed. If you think a decision was wrong, write to us with the link to the content (see Contact below). A suspension does not cancel a paid plan, but you can ask us to cancel it for you.
What does Replay know about me?
Your email stays private. Your username, display name, bio, pictures and public clips are visible to everyone. The Privacy Policy lists what we collect, why, who processes it and how to use your rights.
How do I delete my account?
In Settings, under Leave Replay, choose Delete account. It is permanent: it deletes your profile, clips, comments and files, and the communities you own. You cannot delete the account while you have an active plan: cancel it first.
